Understanding ‘TARGET’

Understanding ‘Target’

When I asked my Guru (Padmashri Mahamahopadhyaya
Dr. R  Sathyanarayana), the meaning of the word TARGET, he explained it like this:

“Look Suri, if you consider two points, namely, the place you are in and the place you need to go to, then, TARGET can be said to be the expanse between these two points. Actually, TARGET is the distance needed to be covered between these two points.

When you relate this to your work, you can understand it as, how far you are from the work that is to be accomplished, or how much more is needed for the work to be accomplished or even how much work is left. This span is what is called TARGET.

If we single-mindedly integrate within ourselves, the task / work that is required to be accomplished, the TARGET automatically merges within, which means that there is no gap between us and the target. Thus there is neither tension, nor stress.

WE and the TARGET are not different – so, when WE are ourselves the WORK, the TARGET,  there is no sense of I-ness or pride of accomplishment. It is not WE who have started it nor is it WE who have accomplished it – because WE and the TARGET have become ONE!”

May these immortal words of the Guru be an inspiration to all of us in our work.

The gap between the self goal and Target thatz is the lack of integrity while achieving anything is done by ‘merging’ with it. Such a complex phenomena is beautifully explained in one word by suryanarayana is his amazing ability.

His explanation with simple words is so effective n ease that felt as if Gurugalu is personally speaking through him. The highlight of the article is lesson for EGO. When we are neither planner nor accomplisher just instrument in the hands of Guru. Where is the question of my ego? This is really answer for my question too.
